The beauty of our human hair toppers is that they are human hair and can styled just like your hair. But with care. Excessive heat styling tools and hair products with harsh chemicals can damage human hair toppers. It’s important to use heat protectants and products designed for human hair to prevent dryness, breakage, and color fading.
Here is how we do it:
- Setup the mannequin floor stand and securely place the mannequin head on it. If you don’t have a floor stand, secure the mannequin to the countertop.
- Close all of the clips on your topper and pin it to a canvas mannequin head.
- Place the pins in the clips of the topper base or the rim of the topper base and pin the topper to the canvas mannequin head. Do NOT put the pins into the mesh base. The pulling of the styling tools could cause the base material to rip if the pins are only in the mesh base.
- Heat your styling tools no higher than 300˚ F
- Use quality heat protection spray on each section, and use a flat iron or curling iron to style your hair as desired.
- Spray with a setting spray and let completely cool to help set the style.
- To allow the topper to harmonize with your own hair – style your own hair the same way – including the setting spray.
- Once your own hair has cooled completely, put your topper on and clip it into place. Hold onto your topper with one hand on top of your head while you use a wide tooth comb or hair pick to comb your hair from the top down, causing your hair to blend with the topper hair.
- Tame any loose hairs with a high quality anti-frizz polish and you are ready to go!
