Yes, our hair is 100% natural human hair. Our premium grade is considered Virgin (hair that’s never been previously chemically-treated or dyed) Remy (human ponytail hair with the cuticle in one direction).

Each topper has four clips which attach to your own hair.

That is perfectly fine. Toppers are designed for people who have very little fine, thin or brittle hair.

As people age, sometimes they don’t lose hair, but the texture of their hair changes dramatically – becoming more thin and even brittle.  We offer toppers as a quick, easy way to make your hair beautiful every day!

Other clients with thick hair purchase toppers so their “roots” don’t show and they can color their hair less often. If you’re concerned with gray showing at the edges – we’ve got you covered with our root cover up powder.

Absolutely.  We can do that for you when you purchase a topper, or watch this video to see how to do this yourself.

No. When attached properly (positioned not to pull hair) you can go all day long unaware that you are wearing a topper.  However, it does feel good to give your head a great scratch when you take it off.

A topper can last 2+ years with proper care.

No.  Topper clips are designed to be attached to fine, brittle hair so they will not damage your own hair.

Toppers do not come pre-cut with bangs, but we will cut (including bangs) and style your topper before you walk out the door so it harmonizes with your hair.

Yes, your topper harmonizes with your own hair and can be styled almost any way.

We recommend you use the mannequin head and floor stand for all styling.

We especially do not recommend blow drying your topper while it is on your own head because it can cause the clips to pull (and damage) your own hair. If you are careful, it is possible to curl your topper while you are wearing it.

No.  You should remove your topper, close the clips, and store it on your mannequin head.

We do not recommend swimming in the topper.  Our human hair toppers react to the elements – just like your own hair; however, chlorine and salt water can impact the life of the topper base.

You can definitely wear it while you are hanging around at the pool or at the beach, but don’t forget to use the UV Cover Spray which will protect the topper hair.

Yes.

We recommend you pack your topper in our custom designed box before putting it in your luggage.  This will prevent the topper from becoming crimped and arrive ready to wear.

Unfortunately, no.  You must have some hair for the clips to attach to.

Yes. Since toppers also add fullness and volume to the length of your hair, it is possible you might not need extensions.

Store your topper with the clips closed on your mannequin head.

We recommend every 2 to 3 weeks for daily wear and 4 to 6 weeks if worn less often.

We always recommend using cool water with a high quality color safe shampoo and conditioner products.

We do not recommend blow drying your topper on your own head, because it can cause the clips to pull and damage your own hair.

We recommend using our mannequin head on the floor tripod stand for easy, all side access.  Use the mannequin pins and stick them through the clips to secure the topper for drying.

Just like your own hair, the more abuse it takes, the more often you will want to use a mask.  If you wear your topper daily, we recommend at least once per month.

Yes, they can be easily sewn in.

We have over 20 colors to choose from.  We will custom match a topper to perfectly harmonize with your own hair color.

Absolutely.  We offer that service or you may have your own stylist perform that service. Just make certain they are familiar with toppers!

Note: We never recommend bleaching our toppers!

No, we do not recommend perming your topper.

Each topper has a natural wave and can be curled.  Remember to use our a high quality color safe heat protection product.

No.  At Sullivan Hairwear we believe to select the perfect topper – color, density, length – for harmonizing with your hair, you should have a private consultation.

We do.  With our great Client Referral Program you can refer yourself!  Each referral will earn you $50 in store credit for products or your next topper purchase.

Just have them contact us if they have questions. Your stylist can receive a cash bonus for referring clients who purchase a topper. We would like to have them register with us first, but just make certain our mutual client remembers to share their stylist’s name and phone number with us.

When you purchase luxury hair wear at our salon, you have been able to see the piece in person and inspect it, BEFORE the purchase.  Therefore, no exchanges, returns or refunds will be allowed under any circumstances.
