For many years I struggled with my hair as it continued to become thinner and more brittle, to the point where my bangs wouldn’t grow and I had large areas on top with very little hair.
I would spend 45 minutes, fluffing it, curling it, spraying it, and even covering it with powder to hide the shiny bald spots. But before I could even walk out the door, it would be flat again. My parting words would be, “I hate my hair!” or some version of that.
My hubby is the most supportive person and no matter how bad my hair looked he always told me I was beautiful – but I didn’t feel beautiful.
Was my hair loss because of stress, menopause, or genetics – or some combination of those – I honestly don’t know. I do know I tried a lot of things: Platelet Rich Plasma injections, topical Minoxidil, Collagen, and Biotin.
I was desperate. After much research, I discovered human hair toppers. There wasn’t a salon in this area that specialized in toppers, so I decided to travel several states away to find out if a topper could be my solution. Luckily, my stylist, who consoled me through my years of hair loss went along with me for the consultation.
The overall salon experience wasn’t great – nor was it what was promised on their website. But the moment they put the topper on me, I was overcome with tears of joy. I bought two; one I had trimmed to the length of my hair and the second one was left longer to tie up into a ponytail for yoga, tennis and golf. They were so amazing that my stylist even bought one for herself!
I wasn’t expecting how much pure joy this would bring into my life. I don’t say it every time we leave the house, but frequently will say out loud – “I love my hair!” My topper harmonizes so well, it has truly become my hair.
One of the biggest advantages of my new discovery is the amount of time I save every single day. Doing my hair now takes about 30 seconds! And every time I put on my topper, I am still amazed at how much of a difference it makes in my life. I look younger, I feel younger and I am filled with joy!
